The Singapore Nobody Puts in the Itinerary

Description: Not the Marina Bay shot. Not the Gardens after dark — though honestly that one earns its reputation. I mean the version of Singapore that exists between the planned stops. The hawker stall at 9pm. The side street in Tiong Bahru. The Singapore holiday packages rarely frame it this way, but the city has a quieter layer and it's the best one. You find it by accident, mostly. That's kind of the point.
